Perimeter Defender

AXIS Perimeter Defender provides accurate detection capabilities with support for multiple detection scenarios. This includes several types of intrusion detection and loitering. AXIS Perimeter Defender enable detection of multiple events occurring simultaneously in different places. It analyses detected events, dismisses non-threatening ones and notifies security staff of potentially critical situations. Your staff can then choose to view detailed video footage to determine the precise nature of the threat – and act accordingly. The result is accurate detection and minimal false alarms.

Mid-Size Systems

Protect your mid-size business with a complete, end-to-end security and surveillance solution. At Axis, we offer cameras, software and other products that create a security solution designed for the active operator.

Our solutions are easy to use and install, and they’re designed to work perfectly for schools, retail, manufacturing sites and other mid-size installations. You can either opt for one of our out-of-the-box systems with optimized hardware and software, or build your system using our software together with standard PC and servers.

An AXIS Camera Station S10 recorder and AXIS Camera Station S20 Appliance is an out-of-the-box ready video management solution with pre-installed AXIS Camera Station software. AXIS Camera Station is intuitive and easy to use, meaning anyone can operate it to find and export high definition evidence. Combined with Axis network cameras it gives you everything you need to confidently monitor your premises. So it’s ready to use straight out of the box.

Electronic Image Stabilization

Axis’ Electronic image stabilization is designed to cover a wide range of frequencies, as well as coping with high and low amplitudes, provides clear images – even in scenes with lots of motion. With Electronic image stabilization activated, the vibrating effect in video is reduced and thus providing a smoother and steadier image – even on windy days when vibrations otherwise would have affected the video quality.

In addition to getting a more useful video, image stabilization also improves camera operability, allows for more flexible installation and reduces the file size, as well as bandwidth and storage use.

Electronic Image Stabilization In Axis Thermal Cameras

A thermal camera is mainly used for video analytics and detection in those restricted areas where no one should trespass or walk around. Based on these premises, the video shows no motion at all, unless an intruder is detected. Supporting Axis’ Zipstream technology, AXIS Q1941-E filters out those areas with no motion, and it can focus on the parts of the image that are moving. This significantly reduces the bandwidth and storage required. Moreover, the Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) helps the camera to provide a smooth live viewing when it is mounted on instable places and vibration can be perceived as an issue.

Axis’ Zipstream technology consists of a collection of dynamic features that analyzes and optimizes the network camera’s video stream in real time. Scenes containing interesting details are recorded in full image quality and resolution while other areas are filtered out, to optimally use available bandwidth and storage. Important forensic details like faces, tattoos or license plates are isolated and preserved, while irrelevant areas such as white walls, lawns and vegetation are sacrificed by smoothing in order to achieve the better storage savings.

Multi-View Surveillance

AXIS F34 Main Unit

  • Streams 1080p/HDTV 720p videos from four sensor units simultaneously
  • Quad view stream
  • Axis’ Zipstream technology
  • Two built-in SD card slots

AXIS F34 Main Unit offers a cost-efficient, highly discreet solution for the surveillance of four closely situated areas. The main unit, which should be placed in an indoor location, can connect to four different AXIS F Sensor Units. The sensor units can be mounted in tight places indoors or outdoors up to 8, 12 or 15 m (26, 39 or 49 ft.) away, depending on the sensor unit and if a cable accessory is supported.

AXIS F34 enables simultaneous streaming of views from four different areas through one Ethernet port. The installation cost—with the main unit, four sensor units and other system components—can be lower than the cost of a system that involves four comparable standard network cameras. Costs for a network switch, for instance, may be lower as the number of ports required can be reduced. License fees for the video management software (VMS) can also be lowered if the VMS sees AXIS F34 as requiring one license instead of four. The overall installation and placement of the units may also be easier and more flexible than with conventional camera solutions.

Extra Image Quality

Extra everything – for outstanding image quality and efficient installation

  • Exceptional video quality with ½” sensors
  • Lightfinder and WDR – Forensic Capture
  • Unique remote PTRZ capability for efficient installation and readjustment
  • Axis’ Zipstream technology – saves bandwidth without sacrificing quality
  • Robust design for harsh environments

AXIS Q36 network camera series features ½” inch sensors and WDR – Forensic Capture and Lightfinder technologies for sharp images in poor light. And we keep the picture steady for you with electronic image stabilization. The bottom line is image quality that’s always the best of the best. Plus Axis’ Zipstream technology saves bandwidth and storage by up to 50% – without sacrificing quality.

AXIS Q36 offers a unique solution: our new remote PTRZ pan/tilt/roll/zoom feature. It allows for exceptionally speedy and efficient installation to keep costs and time low. And, if circumstances sometimes require you to readjust the view of the camera, remote PTRZ makes it possible to make changes from afar, without ever pausing the recording. can withstand rough conditions. The cameras are protected against harsh weather, vandals, vibration and shock. So you can count on a surveillance system that stays up and running no matter what.

Lightfinder Technology

The Lightfinder technology incorporates a CMOS sensor with exceptional light sensitivity. However, the Lightfinder technology is much more than just the sensor. As per Axis’ proven image processing, already used in all its network video products, the elaborate software sets the degree of filtering and sharpening to give the best image quality possible. The outstanding performance in low light is the result of wellfounded decisions regarding the sensor and lens combined with carefully tuned image processing.
Compared to any analog camera, the Lightfinder technology will give a better resolution and more lifelike colors, especially in low-light conditions. The noise reduction of the Lightfinder technology is vastly improved compared to any analog camera on the market, which in combination with the light sensitivity of the sensor gives a superior image quality. Also, since cameras incorporating the Lightfinder technology are digital, it opens a broad range of possibilities, such as the usage of a progressive scan sensor, video intelligence analysis and video surveillance systems.
The advantages of the Lightfinder technology are high light sensitivity, excellent image quality with low noise but a wealth of details, and better color reproduction in low light. Cameras with the Lightfinder technology also have all the advantages of other network cameras, such as progressive scan, and can easily be integrated with the industry’s largest base of application software through Axis’ Application Development Partner Program.
